This stunning hand carved instrument came to us from long term ownership in an elegant home in Reno, Nevada. The case is in a highly figured shimmering mahogany veneer and is in superb condition. The piano was restrung at some time in the past but is otherwise original and in excellent condition, including the original ivory keys. The tone and touch are exceptional. This Steinway is still mated with its rare original matching bench which has an attractive needlepoint cover. A new Steinway Louis XV is only available in the smaller model M, retailing for over $140,000 - our price for this fine heirloom quality instrument is a small fraction of that figure.
