Swedish musical sensation Gunhild Carling is an internationally acclaimed superstar. Whether she's singing favorite jazz standards, or playing one of many instruments, Gunhild's sublime showmanship shines through. She combines extraordinary skills on trumpet and trombone with vaudeville stunts, like playing three trumpets at once. She’ll be joined by Idun Carling (vocals, trombone), Jason Bellenkes (sax), Rebecca Roudman (cello), Benito Cortez (violin), Neil Fontano (piano), Adam Kubota (bass), and Pete Devine (drums).
Tribute to Wylie TrassThe Bobby Young Project is a group of musicians whose objective is to create music that touches the heart and soul. Made up of musicians who have worked together in various bands for nearly 50 years, this Oakland based band officially formed in 1997. This evening’s show will pay tribute to their original vocalist, who passed about a month ago, Wylie Trass.
Trombonist and singer/songwriter Natalie Cressman and Brazilian composer, guitarist, and singer Ian Faquini present a uniquely intimate collaboration, drawing from impressionism, jazz, and the great Brazilian songwriting tradition. With the warm instrumentation of acoustic guitar and trombone and two-part vocal harmonies hugging the Brazilian-accented Portuguese, Cressman & Faquini weave their musical voices together to create a fully orchestrated sound befitting a much larger ensemble.
Grammy award winning pianist Sullivan Fortner and Bay Area native and multi-instrumentalist Kyle Athayde return to the piano store for another duo performance, a year after their first appearance. They will celebrate the release of their album Tea for Two. This is an event you definitely don’t want to miss!

El Vucko – Larry Vuckovich’s Latin Quartet – presents an in-depth program of Latin music, covering important historic locations such as Cuba, Central America, and Mexico. Pianist Larry Vuckovich has had the fortune of being connected and having performed with some of the great Latin percussionists and musicians, like Jose Mangual, Pete Escovedo, John Santos, and Louis Romero, to name a few. Larry, “El Vucko,” will present music from his wide-ranging repertoire of classic Latin compositions, joined by guitarist Kai Lyons, bassist Buca Necak, and Latin percussionist Javier Navarette.
Join Macy Blackman and the Mighty Fines as they offer up their “best of the last 14 years.” They will play music from their 4 albums, plus more that has sneaked through so far but will be recorded. The band has always specialized in New Orleans-style rhythm and blues from the 1950’s and 60’s, and have recently added some traditional New Orleans jazz to the mix, like King Oliver and Fats Domino
Steve Lucky & Miss Carmen Getit, the bandleaders of the Rhumba Bums, bring their six-piece band together for the first time since the pandemic started. Playing vintage rhythm & blues, jazz, swing, and boogie woogie, the Rhumba Bums are renowned for their high-energy, highly entertaining show. Bay area guitar virtuoso Jinx Jones brings his all-star jazz trio for a one-time-only live streaming event. This special event celebrates the instrumental stylings of artists like Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, and Charlie Christian. Jinx will also give a sneak preview of songs from his upcoming jazz guitar album Blue Gardenia. Accompanying Jinx will be super-star bassist Angeline Saris and Legendary drummer Ken Owen.
